Silicon Fen or the ‘Cambridge Cluster’ is a vibrant ecosystem of high tech businesses focussed upon software and biotechnology.
With around 1500 companies in the region employing over 50,000 people the area is home to many household names such as ARM, Acorn Computing, Microsoft and tech startups including Crowdsurfer, Raspberry Pi, Mission Therapeutics and Neul.
Inherently linked with the University, much of Silicon Fen’s vibrant growth can be traced back to 1970 and the birth of Cambridge Science Park, the initiative of Trinity College.
